How to Remove Rashes on Your Face

1. OTC Products

If you think your rash is due to allergies, you could opt for over the counter products designed to treat allergic skin rashes, such as oral antihistamines and hydrocortisone creams. Another option is to try a calamine lotion which will relieve the itching and irritation of the rash.

2. Ice Compress

One of the easiest ways to get rid of a rash that is caused by heat, hives, poison ivy, insect bites or similar things is to use a cold compress or wrap some ice in a towel. You can also use cold non-skimmed milk to help with this as well.

3. Skin Care Routine

In the morning, wash your face using clean cool water and mild soap then let it air dry. When you shower, scrub your face thoroughly then rinse it. Follow this up with a lotion that contains both stearic acid and glyceryl stearate (or just one if you can’t find both in the same product). You should also be sure that the lotion does not have hard chemicals or antiseptics. You should ideally repeat this process three times a day.

4. Olive Oil

Try olive oil! Olive oil can help eliminate rashes because it opens up pores which in turn regulate the air flow on the skin and it also works as a natural cleanser. Because it is able to keep the skin condition at its normal level and work with the immune system to fight infections, olive oil works to eliminate rashes on any part of the body.

To use this treatment, wash your face with warm water and once it is completely dry, put olive oil on your face, leaving it in place for two hours before washing it off. You should do this five times a day and then three times the next day.

5. Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel helps the skin in a similar way to olive oil but with the added advantage that you can leave it on your skin for extended periods of time, such as overnight. If you can, it is ideal to use both aloe vera gel and olive oil (at separate times each day).

6. Vitamin E and Cod Liver Oil

Never miss this tip when thinking about how to get rid of rashes on face. One of the best home remedies that eliminate rashes on the face quickly is vitamin E and when you mix it with cod liver oil you can usually see results overnight. Whenever you apply this treatment, be sure to clean your face thoroughly beforehand. Ideally you should do this in the morning and then again right before bed.

7. Witch Hazel

Witch hazel can help with rashes because it dries them out and this is why it also works for wrinkles, cold sores, blemishes and acne. To use witch hazel, soak a cotton ball using either the extract or tincture then apply it to the rash. Wash it off after ten minutes. If you have sensitive skin, you should dilute the witch hazel in olive oil or water and do it two or three times each day. White vinegar and apple cider vinegar work like witch hazel because of their astringent qualities. If your skin requires a gentler option, try using chamomile essential oil, calendula essential oil or chamomile tea bags on your rash several times a day. If it is infected, opt for tea tree oil.

8. Neem Leaves

To use neem leaves, also known as Indian lilac, steep a handful of them in boiling water for between fifteen and twenty minutes. Then strain the mixture and let it cool down. After it is cool, place a cotton ball in it, allowing it to soak up the liquid then rub the cotton ball on the rash. This will cure and prevent infections and skin disorders. If you prefer, you can use neem oil or neem extract.

9. Banana Peel
